Batu Pahat: Vacation Deepavali a family tragedy when a child is 6 years old drowned while bathing in a pool at a water theme park is famous here, yesterday.

In the incident at about 4.35 pm, the S Rishither, confirmed dead after drowning while swimming in a pool that level of depth to reach 3.35 meters.

Batu Pahat police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Wahib Musa, said the children were confirmed killed when seeking treatment at health clinics Barge Pechah, near here.

He said, through the preliminary investigation, the security guard who also witnessed the incident told her father she saw S Surentharan, 35, suddenly jumped into a swimming pool there to rescue victims after complaining about the loss of her son.

"According to the victim's father, of 9 family members check in to the theme park at 3.30pm for a picnic in conjunction with the Deepavali holidays but 20 minutes later he panicked after finding her second child suddenly failed to be detected before informing loss with respect to the security guard in situ ,

"The child was later found drowned in a swimming pool with a depth of up to 3.35 meters and is found at a depth of 1.52 meters.

The victim's father tried to do first aid mouth to mouth resuscitation (CPR) but failed before the management of the theme park rushed victims to the clinic Barge Pechah but was pronounced dead, "he said.

Abdul Wahib said the case was classified as sudden death events (SDR).

He also advised the public to visit the theme park so always be careful and vigilant with their children in order to avoid any untoward incident.

"The management of the theme park should also be responsible for the safety of visitors every time because of carelessness will cause the tragedy," he said.
