JOHOR BARU: A group of the Faculty of Education Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) offering expertise to help victims and staff Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA), which experienced a trauma.

Chief Coordinator of Counsellors UTM, Prof Dr Syed Mohamed Shafeq Syed Mansor, said one professor, two officers and two officers psychological counseling, assisted 15 students in graduate, post-traumatic stress and give assistance.

"We have been in HSAs since 2pm yesterday to hold discussions with officials of Psychology of assistance and work to be done," he said in a press statement here.

Dr Syed Mohamed Shafeq said it will provide services to the victims' families, hospital officials and agencies involved in assisting the firefighting and rescue victims individually and collectively.

At present, the service is provided at the Johor Islamic Religious Department building and the Open University, which is located close to the HSA for six days beginning yesterday.

"After this period, they can come to UTM for the service," he said. - BERNAMA
